About Us
Since starting in Perth in 2012 CMW Geosciences has expanded to 18 offices with over 300 employees across Australia and New Zealand. We are hardworking downtoearth and passionate engineers and geologists who provide quality geotechnical site investigation analysis and design advice to the construction infrastructure and energy sectors.
Our Ballina office in Northern New South Wales is an easy commute from Byron and Lennox Head and an easy 5 minute drive from East Ballina. The office opened in response to growing project demands in the region largely due to remediation works following the 2022 floods.
The team of 8 is looking for an experienced geotechnical engineer or engineering geologist to help deliver local projects. Youll work closely with our principal geotechnical engineer to develop innovative and costeffective solutions in the Northern Rivers. Equally youll support develop and oversee the junior staff as they build their career in the geotechnical space.
What Youll Need
- 5 years experience in a geotechnical consultancy with at least two years in Australia or New Zealand.
- A Civil Engineering Geology or Earth Science Degree
- CPEng alternative relevant professional registration (AGSEng Aust AusIMM IPENZ Prof. Eng Geo) OR progressing formal application towards CPEng or relevant professional registration.
- Experience training and developing junior engineers/geologists.
- Good interpersonal skills
- Exceptional organisation and communication skills both verbal and written
