Job Description
Job Summary:
Competent in clinical practice and selfdirected in managing complex patients and families
Provides safe competent patient care and communicates effectively with peers colleagues and providers
Implements nursing process independently and integrates evidencebased practice resources into clinical practice
Proficient in unitbased patient care technology and organizational information systems
Delegates care appropriately and serves as a preceptor for new employees and students
Commits to lifelong learning and professional growth
Identifies ethical issues in practice and takes appropriate action
Ensures continuity of care with other health care providers
Adheres to evidencebased guidelines and policies in professional practice
Participates in quality improvement studies and activities for patient safety and quality measures
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia
Minimum of two years of fulltime experience as an RN postorientation or postresidency training
Certified in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) by the American Heart Association
Additional education competencies and certification may be required depending on the clinical unit
BSN degree and National Certification in Clinical Specialty are preferred.
