Job Description
Summary/Objective:
We are seeking a talented and driven Sr Accounting Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. As our company continues to expand this role will initially focus on Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processing along with providing broader support across the finance function. This position offers the opportunity to grow and evolve alongside as we continue to innovate and expand our business.
Essential Functions:
Analyze customer accounts to identify nonpayments delayed payments and other irregularities
Generate and distribute invoices to customers
Enter wholesale orders not processed through EDI system
Reconcile customer accounts and investigate any discrepancies
Follow up on collect and allocate payments from customers
Receive and verify vendor invoices ensuring accurate processing through the Accounts Payable system
Reconcile vendor accounts to statements and resolve any discrepancies
Assist employees with processing expense reports
Prepare and file sales and use tax returns
Prepare journal entries in QuickBooks Online

Skills Education and Experience:
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detailoriented and organized
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Three years of experience in accounting or finance is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online
- Proficiency with Avalara is preferred
