Job Description

We are delighted to partner with a wellregarded secondary school in Southwark committed to providing a highquality education and fostering a passion for learning. They are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design Technology Teacher to join their dedicated faculty in a fulltime permanent position commencing this November.

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the schools dynamic Design Technology department inspiring the next generation of passionate individuals. The role entails fostering a love for thinking in students equipping them with essential skills for the modern age.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and rigorous Design Technology lessons aligned with the national curriculum and schools educational goals across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student curiosity problemsolving and collaboration.
  • Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Design Technology department and across the school to enhance the learning experience.
  • Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in the field of Design Technology.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelors degree or higher in Design Technology or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Design Technology at the secondary level.
