Job Description
Our thriving secondary school in Ealing is seeking a talented and enthusiastic English teacher to join our dynamic faculty on a maternity cover basis. This is a fulltime temporary position offering the opportunity to contribute to the academic success of our students while gaining valuable teaching experience.
About the Role:
- Design and deliver engaging and informative English lessons across all year groups adhering to the National Curriculum.
- Cultivate a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that fosters a love of literature language and critical thinking.
- Guide students in developing a comprehensive understanding of core English principles literary analysis and creative expression.
- Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE ALevel and beyond).
- Collaborate with colleagues in the English department and contribute to schoolwide events.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Possesses a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English or a closely related subject.
- Demonstrates a strong passion for English literature and language with a captivating teaching style.
- Excels in communication interpersonal skills and classroom management within a diverse learning environment.
- Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment that challenges and motivates students.
