We are currently looking for an Registered Practical Nurse / Wellness Nurse interested in a fulltime or parttime position in the Greater Sudbury Area.

Schedule: 7am7pm x 2 days 7p7a x2 days (5 days off)
Our Resident Services team provides comfortable retirement living services catering to the physical social emotional and spiritual needs of all residents who wish to maintain or regain an independent lifestyle. We deliver our mission by adhering to ORCA & RHA standards focusing on continuous quality improvement infection prevention and control best practices in health and safety and ongoing staff training.
Education & Training:
A graduate from an approved School of Nursing (Registered Practical Nursing Program) or Registered
Nursing Program with a current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support BCLS
Theoretical and applied knowledge of the Practice Standards set out by the Ontario College of Nurses.
Must have relevant experience working within full scope of practice including medication administration
within the last two (2) years.
Completion of RPN standardization (all modules) required. (HSN requirement)
Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps training certificate is required.
Knowledge/Skills/Ability:
Proficient with Microsoft Office Meditech Client Service OE and GRASP software.
Capable of practicing within the full scope of an RPN/RN including medication administration.
Knowledgeable about community support services home and community care rehabilitative services adult day programs and other social services.
Effective team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to work cooperatively with staff patients physicians volunteers and the public.
Skilled in using patient care equipment.
Familiar with Ontario Hospital Association/Medical Association Communicable Disease Surveillance Protocols.
Able to prioritize tasks efficiently.
Compliant with HSNs privacy policy and committed to the safety of coworkers and patients.
Works well independently and under pressure.
Relates well to staff residents and families with patience tolerance and confidentiality.
Maintains a positive work and attendance record.
Uses tact and discretion with healthcare providers and employees.
Committed to ongoing professional development and handles confidential issues professionally.
Capable of meeting the physical and sensory demands of the job.
Empathetic and understanding of the needs of the elderly and disabled.
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 6 months of employment start date) and TB testing required.
Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
