Job Description
KO Business Solutions is a professional staffing firm in the Chicagoland area that supports the hiring needs of companies across the country. Our partner in the environmental consulting industry is looking to add an entrylevel Due Diligence Staff Scientist to their team to help support field activities and reporting for their team.
Location: Hybrid Lisle IL
Schedule: MF 8am5pm with some outside hours required
Salary: $55000$65000
JobType: FullTime Permanent
The Due Diligence Staff Scientist will support and prepare Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (in accordance with ASTM Standard E1527 Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments) to identify recognized environmental conditions and other conditions of environmental concern for a project and related offsite properties. The successful candidate should possess a due diligence knowledge and strong technical writing skills. Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) to identify Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs) and other adverse environmental conditions as outlined in the scope of work.
- Review previous assessment reports historical and regulatory records for the property and for the surrounding area and report data in accordance with ASTM criteria and/or clients scope of work.
- Conduct interviews with appropriate project stakeholders and government officials to obtain information concerning the environmental conditions related to the property and adjacent properties.
- Writes reports which accurately convey the environmental assessment and provide exhibits and photos which illustrate or clarify information presented in the body of the report.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in environmental science geology engineering or similar field
- 1 years relevant due diligence experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to be organized selfmotivated dependable personable and able to multitask and work effectively as a team player
- Strong technical writing skills.
