Roles and responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Medical and Scientific Affairs to join our dynamic team in the Middle East. This pivotal role comes at a time of significant international expansion and will be crucial in supporting post-marketing clinical studies while developing a robust network of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). The successful candidate will also play an integral part in educational initiatives, including seminars, webinars, and workshops, aimed at aligning with our commercial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clinical Protocol Development: Lead the development, definition, and implementation of clinical protocols to meet medical objectives for evaluations and clinical trials.
• Study Management: Oversee the execution and monitoring of all initiated studies, ensuring adherence to timelines and objectives.
• Publication Pipeline: Maintain a strong pipeline of publications, presentations, lectures, and posters based on evaluation study results, promoting findings within the scientific community.
• Communication Materials: Participate in the development and presentation of communication materials to disseminate study results effectively.
• KOL Network Development: Cultivate and nurture relationships with key medical and scientific opinion leaders, particularly those with a keen interest in point-of-care (POC) testing.
• Medical Community Engagement: Enhance relationships with medical communities and clinical working parties, facilitating collaboration with KOLs and other medical specialists.
• Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales organization by delivering seminars and engaging with key customers in assigned regions to drive commercial success.
• Event Participation: Actively attend relevant scientific, medical, or patient society events as needed, enhancing visibility and credibility within the industry.
• Market Insights: Provide valuable KOL feedback on existing products, competitor insights, and new product requirements to inform strategic decisions.

Desired candidate profile

Requirements:

• Educational Background: MD, PhD, or PharmD with a strong foundation in medical and scientific principles.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English and Arabic is essential; proficiency in French is desirable.
• Clinical Study Experience: Demonstrated experience in clinical study management, ensuring robust execution and analysis.
• Presentation Skills: Proven ability to present at meetings and conduct engaging seminars, fostering knowledge transfer.
• Publication Experience: Strong background in preparing scientific papers for peer-reviewed journals, enhancing the organization’s reputation in scientific literature.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with point-of-care and critical care technologies is preferred, contributing to informed discussions with stakeholders.
• KOL Relationship Management: Previous experience in developing and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders, facilitating collaboration and insights.
