Summary:
The Document Specialist is responsible for handling mail preparing documents for scanning and operating scanning equipment. This role requires basic computer skills and an ability to follow written instructions in English. Tasks include opening and sorting mail prepping documents scanning and performing various other duties as assigned.
Physical demands include standing sitting lifting (1050 lbs.) bending twisting and other movements associated with document handling. Prior experience with printing and scanning equipment is preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Document Preparation & Scanning: Prep scan inspect compile and assemble documents following company standards.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure accuracy quality and timely delivery of scanned documents to meet customer satisfaction.
- Machine Maintenance: Troubleshoot minor issues (clearing jams refilling toner etc.) and report equipment failures.
- Production Targets: Achieve daily productivity standards including Impressions Per Hour (IPH) and Time Productive statistics.
- Workstation Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workstation to prevent errors during assembly.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively with team members and communicate any issues promptly with the manager.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Skills:
- Basic computer and typing skills.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Adaptability to changing situations and flexibility with work shifts including possible overtime weekends and holidays.
- Physical Abilities:
- Stand for up to 8 hours per day.
- Lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Ability to work in a moderately noisy production environment.
Work Environment & Dress Code:
- Business Casual Attire: Closedtoe shoes are required; jeans without tears are acceptable. No leggings gym wear or clothing with offensive or political designs.
- Cell Phone Policy: Phones must remain silent and stored in lockers. Phones are strictly prohibited on the production floor.
- Lunch Break: 30minute break. Employees are encouraged to bring their own lunch. Vending machines refrigerators and microwaves are available onsite.
