Drama Teacher Sought for Reputable Secondary School in Kingston
We are delighted to collaborate with a highlyregarded secondary school in Kingston actively seeking a dynamic and inspiring Drama Teacher to join their thriving Arts department. This fulltime permanent position offers a unique platform to ignite a passion for theatre and performance in young minds.
Position Overview:
The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering a comprehensive and engaging Drama curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 4 and potentially 5. The role entails fostering a creative and collaborative learning environment that encourages selfexpression confidencebuilding and an appreciation for the performing arts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver captivating Drama lessons that align with the national curriculum and the schools educational ethos.
- Create a stimulating and supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and participation.
- Direct and facilitate student productions and performances nurturing their talent and providing opportunities for showcasing their skills.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Arts department and across the school to enrich the learning experience.
- Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in Drama education.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelors degree or higher in Drama Theatre Studies or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Drama at the secondary level.
