Job Description

Job Advertisement: Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)
Location: Reading
Contract Type: PartTime (3 Days per Week) Permanent
Start Date: January 2025

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our team on a parttime permanent basis starting in January.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the provision for students with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Collaborate with teachers parents and external agencies to create tailored support plans.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN interventions.
  • Ensure compliance with SEN policies and maintain uptodate records.
  • Provide guidance and training for staff to support SEN students effectively.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and relevant legislation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience in working with a diverse range of SEN needs.
