Job Description
Title:Automation Engineer (Python)
Duration:1 2year contract to hire.
Location: Plano TX
Automation and Integration Specialist:
Design and develop automated workflows and integrations to streamline asset and configuration management processes
Implement APIs and scripts to integrate ServiceNow with other IT systems (e.g. monitoring tools CMDB ticketing systems)
Automate data collection validation and reconciliation tasks to improve data accuracy and reduce manual effort
Develop custom reports dashboards and visualizations to provide realtime insights into asset and configuration data
Collaborate with the Asset and Configuration Management Coordinator to identify areas for automation and process improvement
Provide technical guidance and support to the IT team on automation and integration best practices
Stay uptodate with the latest trends and technologies in the automation and integration space
Needed Experience:
3 years of experience in software development or IT automation
Proficient in one or more scripting/programming languages (e.g. Python PowerShell JavaScript)
Experience with API development and integration including the ability to design and implement RESTful APIs
Familiarity with ServiceNow platform and its SDK or the ability to quickly learn and adapt
Understanding of IT asset and configuration management processes and data structures
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills to identify and address integration challenges
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with crossfunctional teams
Experience with automation tools (e.g. Ansible Terraform Jenkins) is a plus
