Job Description
- Define and document business functions and processes
- Analyze the integration of business functions with technology
- Maintain a working knowledge of accounting procurement finance or contract management
- Assist with business case development and business process reengineering
- Consult with management and personnel to identify define and document business needs and objectives current operational procedures problems input and output requirements;
- Recommend new processes that yield operational efficiencies
- Conduct costbenefit analysis
- Develop or assist with project work plans project timelines
- Develop or assist with ITBs RFIs RFRs RFPs and contracts.
- The Business Analyst should be familiar with State of Louisiana procurement laws and procedures and also have experience in developing technical specifications and negotiating with vendors to acquire IT assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills analytical skills and familiarity with a range of computer software
- Solid analytical and problemsolving abilities with keen attention to detail
- Strong Excel skills required including data modeling and ad hoc analysis
- Available to work from Baton Rouge LA on a regular basis
- Ability to discern key themes within large complex datasets
- Application of specialized skills within a government agency environment
- Skilled in project design and management
- Capability with PowerBi and PowerAutomate
- Experience in data visualization especially for external audiences
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory: Bachelor s degree Exceptional written and oral communication skills, analytical skills, and familiarity with a range of computer software Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail Strong Excel skills required, including data modeling and ad hoc analysis Available to work from Baton Rouge, LA on a regular basis
