Job Description:
We seek a detailoriented and proactive Paralegal specializing in U.S. copyright law with a working knowledge of California and U.S. labor laws. This role will support the legal team by handling infringement matters and assisting with labor compliance tasks. The ideal candidate will have strong research skills excellent organizational abilities and a commitment to meeting deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on potential copyright infringements and assist in drafting ceaseanddesist letters.
- Maintain organized records of copyright filings ownership documents and legal correspondence.
- Provide support for labor law compliance by researching California and federal employment regulations.
- Assist with drafting employmentrelated documents and policies in coordination with HR.
- Collaborate with external counsel and internal stakeholders.
- Stay updated on developments in copyright law and employment regulations to ensure compliance.
Requirements
- Paralegal certificate or relevant degree in legal studies.
- 3 years of experience in copyright law including registration and infringement matters.
- Basic understanding of California and U.S. labor laws.
- Strong legal research organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal tools (e.g. LexisNexis Westlaw) and standard office software.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
