Position Summary:

Our client is seeking a OffRoad Equipment Mechanic to diagnose and repair various types of earthmoving equipment mainly focusing on dozers bob cats and other equipment as well. The key responsibilities include performing necessary repairs and maintenance and ensuring strict adherence to safety procedures. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in similar roles possess a valid driver s license.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday overtime as needed based on needs

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on companyowned heavy equipment including bulldozers bob cats and other machinery.

Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on companyowned vehicles including road ready trucks dump trucks and class 8 trucks ensuring they meet DOT compliance and are safe and roadready.

Inspect and diagnose mechanical issues with heavy construction equipment including hydraulic pneumatic electrical and mechanical systems.

Replace or repair defective parts such as hydraulic hoses filters belts and electrical components using appropriate tools and techniques.

Follow safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

35 years of experience as a mechanic (either in a shop or on the road)

Valid Driver s License with clean motor vehicle record.

Previous experience managing a shop including inventory control is a big plus

Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with vendors

Good computer skills including proficiency in Excel and Outlook

Ability to work independently and efficiently.

Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in engine repair and maintenance.

Ability to work outside for a prolonged period.

Capable of lifting 50 lbs.
