Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide highquality care to patients across various settings including clinics hospitals and inpatient facilities. Your contributions will play a vital role in helping patients regain mobility improve their physical function and enhance their overall quality of life.
Duties
Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities as directed by the supervising therapist.
Monitor patient progress and report changes in condition or response to treatment.
Participate in discharge planning and contribute to the development of care plans.
Educate patients and their families on home exercise programs and selfcare techniques.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments progress notes and outcomes.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Support specialized areas such as orthopedics pediatrics geriatrics occupational health and hospital medicine as needed.
Qualifications
Associates degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Experience in inpatient or outpatient settings preferred; familiarity with discharge planning is a plus.
Knowledge of therapeutic techniques related to orthopedics pediatrics geriatrics and occupational health is desirable.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
