Responsibilities:
- Firewall Policy Management:
- Create modify and optimize firewall policies and rules to enhance network security.
- Ensure alignment of firewall policies with organizational security and compliance requirements.
- Network Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Continuously monitor network traffic and firewall logs to detect and respond to security incidents.
- Investigate and resolve firewallrelated performance and connectivity issues.
- Stay informed of the latest security threats vulnerabilities and Palo Alto firewall best practices.
- Implement industrystandard security measures to safeguard network integrity.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of firewall configurations policies and network diagrams.
- Prepare reports on firewall performance security incidents and compliance.
- Work with network engineers system administrators and security teams to ensure a unified security strategy.
- Upgrades and Patch Management:
- Plan and perform firmware updates patches and software upgrades on Palo Alto firewalls.
- Maintain an uptodate and secure firewall infrastructure.
- Assist in incident response activities to address and mitigate firewallrelated security breaches or vulnerabilities.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing:
- Stay current with Palo Alto Networks products and certifications.
- Provide training and share knowledge with team members on firewall technologies and practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Palo Alto Networks certification (e.g. PCNSE).
- Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
- Expertise in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls.
- Experience with network protocols VPN configurations and security policies.
- Strong analytical troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced dynamic environment.
