Position Overview:
We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist for our client located in Middlebury VT 05753. Our client is seeking to hire 2 nightshift Respiratory Therapists.
The work shifts are 12 hours long with a rotation of 3 nights one week and 4 nights the next. Weekend and holiday rotations are required. While there is no ICU they treat a variety of patients providing a broad scope of care.
Compensation:

Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
- Operate and manage equipment including mechanical ventilators.
- Assist with internal and external patient transportation as staffing permits.
- Draw analyze and interpret blood gases.
- Collect blood samples from invasive cardiovascular lines.
- Manage artificial airways.
- Administer aerosolize medications and oxygen therapy.
- Provide humidity therapy CPAP and bilevel CPAP.
- Monitor and analyze pulse oximetry readings.
- Conduct bedside and diagnostic lab pulmonary function tests.
- Perform incentive spirometry (IS) and chest physiotherapy.
- Educate patients and conduct assessments.
- Communicate effectively with other departments.
- Operate and disinfect equipment following department policies.
- Participate in quality control and departmental quality assurance programs.
- Engage in inservice education programs.
- Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must obtain State of Vermont Respiratory Therapy License prior to the start date.
- Associate degree from an AMAapproved Respiratory Care program.
- Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist or eligibility to take the NBRC written examination within one year of hire.
- Reliable transportation as public transport options are limited.
