- Design develop and maintain automated test scripts for software applications using industrystandard automation frameworks and tools.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including developers business analysts and product managers to understand software requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Identify prioritize and document test cases based on functional and nonfunctional requirements.
- Execute automated test scripts and analyze test results to identify defects inconsistencies and areas for improvement.
- Participate in test planning test strategy and test estimation activities.
- Continuously enhance and maintain the automation test framework and test environment.
- Identify opportunities for test automation and advocate for automation best practices within the team.
- Collaborate with manual testers to ensure a comprehensive testing approach.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues providing detailed bug reports with clear steps to reproduce.
- Work closely with developers to provide feedback on testability design and architecture to improve software quality.
- Stay uptodate with industry trends new tools and best practices related to test automation.
- Contribute to the overall improvement of the QA process and participate in process enhancement initiatives.
Requirements
- Solid experience in software quality assurance and testing methodologies.
- Proficiency in test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium Appium or Cypress.
- Strong programming skills in languages like Java Python or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of API testing and tools like Postman or REST Assured.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in an agile development environment.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing principles.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g. ISTQB CSTE) are a plus
