Design & Technology Teacher Sought for Thriving Secondary School in Wandsworth

They are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join their dedicated team in a fulltime permanent capacity starting this September.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will play a key role in inspiring students to explore their creativity and develop essential design and technological skills. This position offers the chance to foster innovation problemsolving and a passion for design within a supportive and collaborative school environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons aligned with the national curriculum and the schools educational vision across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Cultivate students practical skills and theoretical understanding in areas such as product design electronics textiles and food technology.
  • Create a stimulating and wellequipped learning environment that encourages experimentation and handson learning.
  • Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback to support individual development.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Design & Technology department and across the school to enhance the curriculum and contribute to extracurricular activities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelors degree or higher in Design & Technology Engineering or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level.
