Job Description
Our wellregarded secondary school seeks a qualified and passionate History and Politics Teacher to join our dynamic Humanities department. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire a love of history and political science and equip students with valuable knowledge and skills.
About the Role:
As a History and Politics Teacher you will:
- Deliver engaging and stimulating History and Politics lessons across the curriculum catering to Key Stage 3 (Years 78) and potentially Key Stage 4 (Years 911).
- Foster a love of history and political science in students encouraging exploration of the past and present and developing their critical thinking skills.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential.
- Contribute to curriculum development ensuring it aligns with the schools vision national requirements and the latest advancements in historical and political studies.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Humanities department and across the school to ensure a cohesive and engaging program.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified History and Politics teacher with a proven track record of success in engaging students and developing their historical and political understanding.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring a love of history and political science in students of all abilities.
- Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive stimulating and supportive learning environment.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- A willingness to be part of a dynamic department and contribute to its ongoing development.
