Mobile Health Team Inc. a staffing agency has an opening for a Permanent Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse(LPN). We are looking for someone with a passion for people.
Location: Avalon CA 90704
Assignment Start Date: 2/15/2025
Shift: MF 85 with few exceptions
Facility Salary: $118500.00 to $145600.00
** 3 months of company housing provided to offset moving expenses. Further housing will be available at market rates. Benefits include a $250/month travel stipend.
Provides physical therapy services for Acute care patients Skilled Nursing Unit Residents and Outpatients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Evaluates patient needs and establish physical therapy treatment plans and goals for each patient. Carries out prescribed treatments as ordered by the physician.
2. Documents patient treatment and reports patients progress to the prescribing physician.
3. Participate in patient and family education. Participates in patient care conferences.
4. Assists department manager in performing Quality Measures and monitors department problems.
5. Responsible for observing departmental policies and procedures.
6. Responsible for care of the facility and equipment related to the P.T. Department
7. Maintains professional standards regarding treatment procedures and ethics.
8. Maintains the safety of property and patients under treatment.
9. Assists department manager in assessing department staffing needs.
10. Maintains all departmental records per department policies.
11. Assists department manager in estimating the needs of the department and ordering supplies and equipment when needed.
12. Assist in the Therapy Departments newhire training.
ORGANIZATIONAL FUNCTIONS
1. Be compliant with organizational policies and procedures and related departmental procedures.
2. Follow all HIPAA regulations as outlined in the HIPAA Policy and Procedure Manual.
3. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
4. Excellent customer service skills for both inter and intra department.
5. Other duties as assigned by the physicians and Supervisor.
6. Other general administrative duties and projects as assigned.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
Experience:
- Minimum of one year of experience as a practicing Physical Therapist
Education:
- Graduation from a School of Physical Therapy approved by the Council of Medical Education of the American Medical Association
Licenses Certifications and/or Registration:
- Possession of a valid license to practice Physical Therapy issued by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs Physical Therapy Board.
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
- Knowledge of: Current physical therapy principles and practice.
- Ability to: Establish effective relations with physicians patients and their families fellow workers and other hospital personnel
- Maintain a positive and caring atmosphere for patients families and coworkers. Perform job responsibilities in a manner that promotes our mission and vision.
- Demonstrate the willingness and ability to work cooperatively and effectively with others.
- Be flexible and demonstrate teamwork.
- Exhibit sound work ethics.

Housing: Housing is a studio apartment and is offered at $200 per week paid for by the traveler. There is a $200 nonrefundable cleaning fee. Boat Tickets are provided at the ferry ticket counter. No personal automobiles are allowed on the Island.
