Job Description
Together with the CDO of the Schunk Group an international technology group with operations in 26 countries we are looking for a Software Engineer (m/f/d) for EdgeIoTApplications to further develop the groupwide digitization strategy at the Heuchelheim site (FFM area).
With a turnover of 1.6 billion euros and more than 9600 employees the Schunk Group is one of the leading manufacturers of products made of hightech materials and innovations in the fields of highperformance microchips renewable energies optics and laser technologies.
Tasks
- You take responsibility and the technical lead for the further development and support of the existing edge platform and ensure the development and seamless integration of new requirements in .NET
- You connect operating systems (Linux) and create APIs to further develop the overall system design
- You work closely with the business units to understand their requirements and integrate them into the further development of the system
- Together with the team you optimize the connection of machines and sensors to the IoT platform using protocols such as Modbus and OPC UA
Requirements
- You possess solid knowledge of software development with .NET and system configuration in Linux is not unfamiliar to you
- You have experience in the development of applications and interfaces for IoT environments
- Ideally you have practical experience with communication protocols such as Modbus and OPC UA
- You are a communicative team player like to take responsibility and have excellent English skills
