Roles and responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will take charge of the mechanical engineering components of our projects, ensuring that designs are cutting-edge, dependable, and adhere to industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead the mechanical engineering design process from inception to completion. This includes overseeing the conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction documentation phases. You will manage and coordinate efforts with both internal teams and external partners, such as architects, contractors, and clients, to ensure alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Your expertise will involve conducting detailed calculations to support your design work, utilizing Eurocodes and other relevant standards to guarantee compliance. You will be responsible for creating and reviewing comprehensive drawing packages, specifications, and other essential technical documents. Additionally, you will conduct quality assurance and quality control checks on all mechanical engineering deliverables to ensure they meet the highest standards.

As a mentor, you will provide guidance and support to junior engineers and team members, fostering their professional development and contributing to a collaborative work environment.

Desired candidate profile

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure is preferred. You should have a minimum of five years of experience in structural engineering, with a preference for candidates who have at least seven years of relevant experience.

Proficiency in Eurocodes and other applicable design codes and standards is essential. You should have a solid understanding of the RIBA stages of work and other design processes, showcasing your ability to navigate complex projects effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical, as you will be working closely with various stakeholders.
