Roles and responsibilities
- General
- Reporting directly to the Dive Center Manager, drive all dive center boats in a safe and professional manner.
- Assist the Senior Manager in the development of other dive centers at other assets.
- Daily preparation of the dive boat.
- Captain the daily dive excursions.
- Ensure boat(s) are clean and presentable at all dives.
- Assist with daily cylinder filling and overall dive center appearance/organization.
- Work with Sustainability and SEZ departments to ensure alignment with sensitive and high-profile environmental issues in the development and operation of Marine Life and Underwater Tourism related assets.
- Work remotely and visit office as and when required.
Establishment of Dive Center: Pre-Opening
- Work alongside the Senior Manager to develop and deliver the dive center and necessary components.
- Working alongside and supporting all RSG departments during Delivery stage to ensure targets are achieved, operational phasing is initiated when required and projects are delivered as designed.
- Become familiar with dive sites within reach of the asset.
Establishment of Dive Center: Post-Opening
- Safety is paramount and always the first priority.
- All activities conducted from the Dive Center are conducted in a professional manner.
- Ensure all daily diving activities are conducted in a safe and professional manner.
- Be familiar with the diving protocols to allow for effective drop in/collection of divers.
- Ensure up to date and accurate records are kept pertaining to boat maintenance and daily log.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, co-workers, and the public.
Policies, Systems, Processes, Procedures, Standards and Reports
- Adopt and follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions to ensure the dive center operates in a controlled and consistent manner.
Safety, Quality & Environment
- Apply safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of department’s systems, processes and practices considering ‘international best practice’, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvement.

Job Requirements:
Qualifications & Experience:
- Registered boat captain in Saudi Arabia
- Good knowledge the Al Wajh Lagoon
- Hospitality track record
- Experience with divers on boat
- Basic trouble shooting of boats/outboards

Desirable Skills:
- Spoken language other than English (preferably Arabic)
- Boat mechanic (outboard)
