Service Technician

Roles and responsibilities

This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of rides and attractions and all related equipment in the waterpark

• Able to maintain and repair all attractions and rides following the highest standards of safety
• Able to identify maintenance risks on equipment
• Able to diagnose any faults for all attractions and rides in the waterpark
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on rides and equipment ensuring complete compliance with the manufacturer’s specifications and waterpark standards
• Able to perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
• Able to provide technical direction and on-the-job training
• Maintain daily logs and records of all maintenance work performed while on duty, paper and electronic
• Keep a correct inventory and write purchase order requests for items needed
• Participate in the on-call program and respond both by phone and in person as appropriate
• Report all potential hazards, safety concerns, and accidents immediately
• Ensure effective communication and good relations between the engineering department and other departments in the water park
• Comply with Health and Safety Regulations
• Routine Maintenance: Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on rides and attractions to ensure safe operation.
• Safety Checks: Conduct safety tests and checks before opening rides to the public, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize ride downtime.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

Desired candidate profile

Secondary / High school education
Qualification in Trades Technician level, variety of engineering/maintenance
Basic computer skills in MS Office and ability to use BMS
Good proficiency in English language
Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to ride operation and maintenance.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively to minimize downtime.

Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to inspections and maintenance to ensure all equipment operates safely.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other technicians and staff to ensure rides operate smoothly.
