As a vital component of Ninja’s finance team, the Section Head of Finance will oversee critical financial processes, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Treasury, General Ledger (GL), and Inventory Management. This leadership role is designed for an individual with extensive financial expertise and a strategic mindset, dedicated to optimizing financial operations to fuel the organization’s growth.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the AP, AR, Treasury, GL, and Inventory departments. Ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations will be paramount. You will develop and implement effective financial processes and controls aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, which will directly contribute to the organization's financial health.
Supervision and mentorship of finance staff will be essential. You will provide guidance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team. By analyzing financial data and preparing comprehensive reports for senior management, you will support strategic decision-making, ensuring that financial insights align with the company's objectives.
Timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, collections, and reconciliations will fall under your purview. You will also oversee cash management activities, ensuring liquidity and effective utilization of funds to meet the organization’s operational needs. Additionally, you will coordinate with both internal and external auditors to ensure compliance and facilitate timely audits.
Evaluating existing financial systems and recommending enhancements to optimize performance will be a critical aspect of your responsibilities. You will assist in the development of budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances, and presenting findings to the management team. Maintaining thorough records and documentation related to financial transactions and processes will be necessary for accountability and transparency.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with a minimum of 12 years of experience in finance and accounting. A minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or management role is required to demonstrate leadership capabilities. A strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations is essential, along with proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Candidates should exhibit excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. The ability to lead and motivate a high-performing team is crucial, as is a strong organizational skill set and attention to detail. Experience in inventory management and cash flow forecasting will be viewed as advantageous.
