Role & responsibilities
Job Description: Purchase Executive (Import & Export) in the Jewelry Industry
As a Purchase Executive specializing in Import & Export within the Jewelry Industry your primary responsibility will be to manage the procurement and sourcing activities of jewelry products raw materials and accessories from both domestic and international markets. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the companys inventory is wellstocked with highquality jewelry products and that all import and export processes are in compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and Procurement: Identify potential suppliers and manufacturers both domestically and internationally to source highquality jewelry products raw materials and accessories. Conduct thorough market research to identify trends new products and costeffective sources.
- Negotiation and Contracting: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing terms and conditions. Ensure all contractual obligations are met including obtaining required documents and certifications.
- Import and Export Compliance: Oversee the import and export processes ensuring compliance with local and international trade regulations customs requirements and documentation procedures. Coordinate with shipping agencies customs authorities and logistics personnel to ensure smooth and timely delivery of goods.
- Inventory Management: Collaborate with the inventory and sales teams to forecast demand plan procurement activities and maintain optimum stock levels. Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to reduce costs and minimize excess inventory.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality inspections and audits to ensure that all jewelry products raw materials and accessories meet the companys quality standards. Collaborate with the quality assurance department to resolve any qualityrelated issues.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers ensuring consistent product quality ontime delivery and favorable pricing. Conduct regular supplier evaluation and performance reviews to foster longterm partnerships.
Requirements
Preferred candidate profile
- Proven experience as a Purchase Executive or similar role within the jewellery industry with a focus on import and export activities.
- Strong negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in supplier sourcing evaluation and contract negotiation.
- Familiarity with inventory management and procurement software systems.
- Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
