We are looking for a skilled Threat Validation Engineer to join our dynamic TechOps team, contributing to an innovative AdTech project aimed at safeguarding the internet from cyber threats. Our company is dedicated to developing technologies that protect organizations and users from a variety of cyber threats, including bot attacks, data breaches, phishing, and digital fraud. We offer a comprehensive suite of services, including Threat Detection and Prevention, Incident Response, and Security Consulting.

Project Overview

Our current focus is on enhancing the AdTech ecosystem, particularly in combating malvertising. This solution is part of a broader portfolio that includes multiple software products designed to ensure safe online advertising practices. As a Threat Validation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in analyzing and validating cyber threats while collaborating with cross-functional teams to refine our product strategies and execution.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing identified malicious attacks, specifically HTML, JavaScript, and CSS advertisements that violate advertising platform policies. You will perform expert analyses to attribute these attacks to various platforms, including Supply Side Platforms (SSPs), Demand Side Platforms (DSPs), and Ad Servers. Your ability to distinguish between bot traffic and legitimate user interactions will be essential, particularly in the context of real-time alerts.

You will also be tasked with creating and maintaining detailed documentation that captures essential information about your work. This documentation will serve as a valuable resource for your colleagues, enabling the sharing of knowledge and validation techniques that enhance our collective understanding of cyber threats in the AdTech space.

Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with our engineering team based in the US to co-author product improvements focused on identifying malicious ad creatives. Your insights will be vital in refining our detection capabilities and ensuring our solutions remain at the forefront of cybersecurity.

Desired candidate profile

Requirements

• Intermediate proficiency in HTML and CSS
• Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Bash) for an ability to read code
• Basic Level of database management skills (e.g., SQL, NoSQL databases)
• Familiarity with networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs)
• Ability to troubleshoot system and network issues efficiently
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
• Problem-solving abilities to diagnose technical issues
• Adaptability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in configurations and operations
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines and SLAs
• Upper-Intermediate level of English
