Customer

Our Customer is a rapidly growing US AdTech company. Founded by three ex-Googlers, it has a highly technical team and an excellent technological culture.

Our Customer is a renowned technology company based in New York, specializing in providing cutting-edge solutions in the realm of video advertising, such as ad platforms for publishers, advertisers, and media buyers. The products field millions of queries per second and consume 125 GB of data per minute.

Over the past 4 years, we’ve partnered closely with the Customer to deliver key components of a Bidder-as-a-Service platform. During this time, we worked on migrating the API from PHP to Python, scaling the SaaS REST API, creating a new high-availability user interface, implementing data aggregating and processing tools, and lots of other features.

Project

Sigma Software works together with the Customer to enable the delivery of numerous key components of the platform. It is looking for engineers to complement the client’s engineering team and drive further development of the platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Back-end systems using Python and Django
• Implement and manage web services and APIs to support various functionalities
• Work with relational databases (RDBMS) to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval
• Utilize AWS services to enhance application performance and scalability
• Collaborate effectively with the Indian development team to achieve optimal results
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient operations
• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices in software development
• Stay current with industry trends and technologies to drive innovation
• Collaboration with our Indian team is essential for achieving optimal project outcomes

Desired candidate profile

We are seeking a backend developer with over 3 years of experience in Python and at least 2 years with Django. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of web services, particularly RESTful APIs, and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL. Familiarity with CI/CD processes and AWS services is essential. We value excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges. Strong collaboration and communication skills are necessary for effective teamwork with international teams. Experience with ReactJS would be a plus.
