This pivotal role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and a minimum of eight years of related experience. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and safety of static equipment through thorough inspection and proactive threat identification.
Responsibilities
The Senior Inspection Engineer will perform field inspection activities according to approved inspection plans. This includes evaluating the condition of various static equipment in operation, such as pressure vessels, tanks, and pipelines. The primary goal is to maintain equipment integrity while identifying and mitigating potential risks. The engineer will collaborate closely with other departments to coordinate inspection schedules and ensure that all inspections are carried out efficiently and effectively.
Key responsibilities include:
Field Inspections: Conduct regular and detailed inspections of static equipment to assess their condition and compliance with safety standards. Utilize advanced inspection techniques and tools to gather data and identify any anomalies or deterioration.
Inspection Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive inspection plans tailored to the specific needs of the designated area of responsibility. These plans should align with industry best practices and regulatory requirements to ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Coordination with Operations and Maintenance: Work collaboratively with Operations Planning and Maintenance teams to schedule inspections and manage necessary repairs. This includes obtaining requisite permits and ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
Proactive Threat Identification: Continuously monitor and analyze equipment performance to detect potential threats before they escalate into significant issues. This proactive approach is essential for maintaining high safety standards and operational efficiency.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspection activities, findings, and any corrective actions taken. Prepare comprehensive reports for management that outline inspection results, trends, and recommendations for improvements.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure all inspection activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Stay updated on the latest technologies and methods in inspection practices to enhance the integrity of equipment.
