Job Description
Our client in downtown Chicago is seeking an experienced and dedicated Systems Administrator with more than 5 years of experience in the field to join their team in a contract to hire capacity. This is a fully onsite position in the Chicago Loop.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows Server and a comprehensive knowledge of Dell Servers VMWare and OnPrem appliances. Key skills include proficiency in Active Directory Azure M365 and CISCO/Maraki. The role also requires the candidate to have fundamental soft skills such as communication problemsolving critical thinking and teamwork.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting maintaining upgrading and providing solutions to complex hardware and software problems.
- Assisting in system performance and ensuring high levels of security and system efficiency.
- Managing systems infrastructure including Active Directory Azure and M365.
- Working closely with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations of hardware and software.
- Handling daily technical support activities on server desktop and network issues.
- Installing and configuring Dell Servers and VMWare.
- Regular system monitoring verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware server resources systems and key processes.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.
- Comprehensive knowledge and skills in Windows Server Dell Servers VMWare and OnPrem appliances.
- Proficiency in Active Directory Azure M365 and CISCO/Meraki.
- Strong soft skills including excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant professional qualifications and certifications are highly desirable.
