Job Description
Job Title: Home Health Aide (Nursing)
Location: Rochester NY 14617
Pay Rate: $15/hr
Duration: 10 Weeks Contract
Guaranteed Hours: 40
Shift: 8hr Eve
Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide highquality personal care and support to patients in their homes helping them maintain independence and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing dressing grooming and feeding
- Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature pulse and blood pressure
- Provide light housekeeping duties including meal preparation laundry and cleaning
- Assist with mobility including transferring clients from bed to wheelchair and ensuring safe movement
- Support medication administration and reminders under supervision
- Accompany clients to medical appointments or social outings as needed
- Offer companionship emotional support and a positive presence
- Adhere to care plans created by nurses or healthcare providers and report any changes in patient conditions
- Ensure compliance with healthcare policies and safety regulations
- Document care and activities accurately
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a certified HHA training program
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Patience empathy and a genuine interest in caring for others
- Ability to handle physical demands such as lifting or assisting clients with mobility
- Flexibility and reliability in scheduling
Experience:
- Prior experience as a Home Health Aide Nursing Assistant or similar role is preferred
- Experience working with elderly or disabled patients is a plus
