The physical therapy assistant (PTA) performs physical therapy procedures and related tasks that have been selected and delegated only by a supervising physical therapist (PT). The PTA uses their knowledge and skills to help the physical therapist provide selected interventions as described in the patients plan of care. The PTA uses their clinical problemsolving skills to ensure patient/client safety and comfort as well as the completion of interventions selected to achieve the patients desired outcomes and goals. Our PTAs demonstrate effective communication and strong interpersonal skills to motivate patients and provide compassionate care.

• Adheres to the APTA Code of Ethics.
• Appropriately carries out treatment as directed by the supervising physical therapist.
• Able to provide a variety of treatment approaches utilizing appropriate manual techniques and available equipment and modalities.
• Maintain and consistently demonstrate competency in all areas of assigned client care needs and seek out additional information inservice or other educational opportunities to remain competent and current in practice.
• Document patient progress according to approved medical documentation and facility documentation procedures to best describe client progress toward established goals.
• Maintained patient records ensuring that Certifications and Authorizations comply with thirdparty payer requirements.
• Functions independently within the scope of the PTA Practice Act.
• Provides individualized patient and caregiver education
• Appropriately modifies treatment in response to patient progress and keeps the PT informed of changes in status and overall progress.
• Assists other facility staff members as needed to provide care and create a clean orderly and effective environment for rehabilitation and physical therapy.

• 2 Years of PTA Experience Required
• BLS (AHA) Required
• IL License Required
• Strong background in TKR THR is preferable
• Experience in a busy outpatient clinic is preferable
