Responsibilities
The IT Asset specialist mobile devices work under the direction of the Assistant Director/Director and is responsible for managing IT inventory functions and administrative operations. The IT Asset Specialist mobile devices will work with vendors facilitating and managing local project deliverables as well as day to day activities associated with the delivery of IT and administrative services within EITS. The manager will also be responsible and accountable for procurement management of hardware deployments and inventories.
General tasks and responsibilities will include:
Mobile device procurement iPhone iPad and Samsung devices
Hands on experience in Unified Communications and mobile device support
Perform monthly invoice analysis validation and payment approval on all land long distance data and wireless invoices to ensure compliance with vendor contracts.
Perform bimonthly mobile device audits to determine if we should select a more costeffective plan or need to update our mobile catalog and communicate concerns to managers.
Track and resolve billing disputes/discrepancies with various carriers present escalation issues status reports and findings to Director.
Assist with mobile phone recycle and inventory program.
Maintains records and databases containing information regarding deployed and on stock inventory of all equipment to include but not limited to make model PO numbers serial number IT Inventory number location device name (if applicable).
Participates in budgetary planning reviews operating costs performs cost studies and assists with department budgets.
Attend all Unified Communications training (VOIP RightFax and supported technologies)
Validate currently deployed equipment to ensure database records are current.
Ensure par level mobile device stock.
Tracks quality throughout the product lifetime Reports defects and process relinquishment
Ensure project/department milestones/goals are met.
Oversee inventory for wireless routers One talk phones and emergency wireless devices.
Performs other duties as assigned/required.
