Job Summary
We are seeking a licensed Clinical Psychologist to join our Adult Specialty Focused Treatment team. The role involves providing mental health assessments diagnosis treatment and crisis intervention for adult members with a wide range of mental health needs. The position offers a mix of hybrid work requiring at least two days onsite per week in Union City CA. As part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team the psychologist will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to design and direct individualized treatment programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop implement and evaluate clinical treatment programs for Health Plan members with acute or chronic mental illness.
- Provide outpatient psychotherapy for individuals couples families and groups.
- Conduct psychological assessments including test administration interpretation and providing recommendations.
- Prepare intake summaries treatment plans and case summaries maintaining accurate and confidential records.
- Collaborate with physicians in screening and evaluating patients for psychotropic medications.
- Provide crisis intervention and appropriate support to members and their families.
- Conduct psychoeducational classes and groups as necessary.
- Provide clinical supervision to psychology interns residents and other mental health trainees.
- Participate in staff conferences to evaluate treatment programs and provide insights.
- Report safety concerns to mandated reporting agencies when necessary.
NonNegotiable Requirements
- Licensing: Must hold a PsyD or PhD in Clinical Psychology and be licensed as a Psychologist in California (or be able to obtain licensure within 6 months).
- Medicare Eligibility: Must be eligible to see Medicare patients.
- Work Flexibility: Able to work at least two days onsite and flexible with work hours.
- DSMV Knowledge: Familiarity with DSMV for diagnosis and treatment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual Skills: Fluency in Spanish is highly preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience with psychological testing crisis intervention and brief psychotherapy (individual and group) is preferred.
- Commitment to Multidisciplinary Work: Demonstrated experience working within a highly interactive teamoriented clinic environment is a plus.
- Psychological Testing: Experience administering and interpreting psychological assessments for adults children and adolescents is preferred.
