You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailDo not submit candidates living less than 90 miles from facility. **This is for Advanced Medical Imaging** Position Summary: The Outpatient Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist provides health care services by assisting in diagnosis or treatment. Performs CT procedures and related techniques producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Operates a CT scanner to obtain images used in the diagnosis and treatment of patient pathologies. Uses knowledge of imaging techniques and crosssectional anatomy to create high quality images for interpretation by radiologists and other medical professionals. Modifies technical settings and adjusts scanning parameters to enhance images and minimize unnecessary exposure. Performs routine quality inspections and quality control maintenance on scanner as recommended by the manufacturer and/or organizational policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications: Required Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) American Heart Association BLS required within 60 days of hire Two (2) years of radiology experience as a registered technologist ARRT CT registry eligible Preferred 1 year post graduation experience with trauma Radiology Essential Job Functions: In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below employees must have ontime completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements Bozeman Health policy and other registry requirements. Performs CT exams and procedures as requested by the medical staff. Assists the Radiologist and other medical staff during exams and procedures. Performs ancillary duties as required to maintain proper distribution billing and archival of exams and procedures. Completes documentation in designated area of all information required for proper interpretation reporting archiving and retrieval of exams. Retrieves written orders and related health information to ensure the timely performance and reporting of exams and procedures. Participates in the implementation monitoring and improvement of the quality indicators as described in the strategic plan. Knowledge Skills and Abilities Demonstrates sound judgment patience and maintains a professional demeanor at all times Exercises tact discretion sensitivity and maintains confidentiality Performs essential job functions successfully in a busy and stressful environment Learns current and new computer applications and office equipment utilized at Bozeman Health Strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills Analyzes organizes and prioritizes work while meeting multiple deadlines Works varied shifts as scheduled and/or needed Physical Requirements Lifting Pushing and Pulling: Support 50 pounds of weight (patient assist with bedside needs etc.) Lift 50 pounds (pick up a child transfer a patient etc.) Carry equipment/supplies. Use upper body strength (CPR physically restrain patient etc.) Extended Hours: The role may involve working for extended periods requiring sitting walking or standing for eight or more hours daily. Flexible Schedule: The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40hour workweek including weekends and afterhours shifts. OnCall Availability: Oncall work may be required to respond to organizational and patient needs promptly. Effective Communication: Proficient in effective communication both in person and through various technologies. Handling Challenging Situations: The role may involve dealing with upset individuals requiring the ability to deescalate situations and work effectively with frustrated patients or families. Repetitive Tasks: Ability to perform repetitive tasks as needed to fulfill job responsibilities. Exposures Tasks Include Potential Exposure: Job tasks may involve exposure to: Bloodborne pathogens such as blood bodily fluids or tissues. Radiation in settings where medical imaging procedures are performed Various chemicals and medications used in healthcare settings. Job tasks may involve handling cleaning products disinfectants and other substances. Infectious diseases due to contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses Emotionally challenging situations such as dealing with distressed patients or difficult family interactions.
