Job Description
A confidential client in higher education is seeking a dedicated and skilled Full Time or Adjunct Veterinary Instructor to join their team. This position offers an opportunity to impact the future of veterinary medicine by providing high quality instruction and mentoring to students in various programs. The role is based in Maumee OH. Sole Hire is managing the recruitment process on behalf of our esteemed client.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the instructor of record for all lecture laboratory and clinical instruction in the veterinary program.
Mentor students ensuring they meet course objectives and develop practical skills.
Oversee the care and management of animals used in lab settings including performing noninvasive procedures.
Monitor student attendance and provide timely feedback on performance.
Develop and implement individualized success plans for at risk students.
Maintain professional relationships with faculty administration and the community.
General Faculty Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively with students and staff providing consistent feedback.
Be accessible for academic assistance through various channels.
Collaborate with faculty and administration to address student performance concerns.
Maintain professionalism in communication behavior and appearance.
Requirements
- Must be a licensed Veterinarian with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
- Unassigned DEA license or the ability to obtain one.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team oriented environment.
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Ability to commute to the Maumee OH campus.
