Job Description

Sales Manager MICE & Leisure ( Wedding Background)

As the Sales Manager for MICE & Leisure the individual will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to attract and secure business within the Meetings Incentives Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) segment as well as the leisure market with a specific focus on weddings and social events. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in wedding planning preferably within the Indian market and be skilled at building relationships with clients and key stakeholders to drive revenue and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development:
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase business from MICE and leisure segments focusing on weddings social events and group bookings.
  • Identify and target new business opportunities through market research networking and sales calls to build a robust client base.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing clients event planners travel agencies and other stakeholders to secure repeat business.
  • Client Engagement & Relationship Management:
  • Engage with clients to understand their event requirements including corporate events weddings and group activities ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Conduct site inspections presentations and negotiations to convert leads into confirmed bookings.
  • Manage client accounts ensuring regular communication and providing solutions to their event needs.
  • Event Coordination & Planning:
  • Collaborate closely with the event planning and operations team to ensure seamless execution of MICE leisure and wedding events.
  • Work with the culinary banquet and service teams to customize packages for weddings and events focusing on client preferences including cultural or themebased requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers decorators and other vendors to ensure all aspects of events are executed to the highest standards.
  • Revenue Generation & Reporting:
  • Develop strategies to maximize revenue through upselling crossselling and optimizing event packages.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Prepare sales forecasts budgets and business plans to achieve set revenue targets.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork:
  • Work closely with the marketing team to promote MICE and leisure packages through various channels including digital marketing trade shows and client events.
  • Collaborate with other departments including front office reservations and F&B to ensure exceptional guest experiences from booking to event completion.
  • Assist the Director of Sales & Marketing in developing promotional campaigns and sales incentives to drive business.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Business Hospitality Management Sales & Marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record in MICE leisure and wedding sales particularly within the Indian market.
  • Strong understanding of wedding planning including cultural and religious aspects of Indian weddings.
  • Exceptional negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure manage multiple clients and events and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software Microsoft Office Suite and other sales tools.
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as required.
