Job title: Calibration engineer

Responsibility:
- Support RGE Emission Testing on site at Chelsea Proving Grounds CTC labs and local suppliers if needed
- Prepare vehicles to be ready for testing and DE prep vehicles when testing is complete
- Creating the work orders
- Reviewing Catalyst images to ensure there is no damage working with technicians to ensure there are no system leaks
- Interfacing with the garage staff priorities for workload requesting prep parts
- Vehicle Triage Support; facilitate issue resolution with appropriate teams
- Facilitate parts orders when needed to resolve a vehicle issue
- Updating s/w/calibrations; maintain the latest calls in fleet on hand at CPG
- Driving to set adaptations
- Update and Maintain copies in Teams Folder of all vehicle information and communication status as the vehicle moves through the process in the tracking system
- Submit shipment paperwork to move vehicles from CPG to test labs LINK or to turn in for disposition
- Back up to Submit emissions test requests in ETS system
- Back up to perform data analysis to identify valid and invalid tests
- Back up to update results in Database
- Create Issue in the Incident Disposition System (IDS) (For CX Team to track
- Enter Test Requests in PGTIS for the CPG Mileage Accumulator Tests
- Monitor RGE Fleet running at the CPG either on road or on the Mileage Accumulator for issues and work with the MA team to project when vehicles will return from emission testing.
- Work with the MA team to prioritize the RGE/RGB vehicles running in cases where there are more vehicles than dynos
- Support Team Planning meetings as needed
- Support Ongoing Issue Resolution Meetings
- Identify efficiency improvements for the emission test process in the lab and techniques to improve throughput
- Present RGE On Hand Status in Weekly Team Meeting
- Support Special Projects as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree (Mechanical Electrical or Aerospace) and IC in electrical mechanical or controls engineering
- Knowledge of the software: MS Office Programs MathWorks/MATLAB or DC Plot
- High level of proficiency in English (speaking reading writing)
- Familiarity with the Automobile and tools used to interrogate the onboard systems (engine control module trans control module etc.)
- Knowledge of the engine and vehicle environment
- Knowledge of the battery and vehicle environment
