Job Description
Job Title: Civil Field Technician
Location: Alpine AL 35014
(some weekends and multiple days of travel throughout the southeastern United States on a weekly basis.)
Job Description:
This position will serve as a supplemental worker to the CFS Drilling Services organization in support of various environmental / geotechnical drilling projects expressly for the maintenance and installation of instrumentation linked to groundwater and surface water monitoring.
Specific instrumentation required to maintain will include but not limited to Troll 500 and 400 Pressure Transducers InSitu VuLinks Solar Panels Dataloggers Automated Slope Inclinometers various Campbell Scientific Geokon and YSI/Xylem Equipment etc.
This position is a field position and interested candidates should be comfortable working outdoors yearround and in inclement weather.
Work will mainly involve the development maintenance and installation of groundwater and surface water sampling instrumentation to support CCR and Dam Safety projects and the oversight of contractors for the same.
High mechanical aptitude and good troubleshooting skills are a must for this position.
Candidates with a 4year degree in chemistry environmental biology physical science or similar concentration are desired
