Responsibilities:

- The company (Foster City CA) is seeking a talented and highly motivated Associate Scientist to join our Immunooncology group.
- Our collaborative and interdisciplinary research team utilize stateoftheart technologies and innovative methodologies to advance medicines into the clinic.
- The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the discovery research and development of novel immunotherapeutic agents to address unmet medical needs of cancer patients.

- Independently plan execute analyze and interpret in vitro and in vivo immunological assays that support the initiation and/or advancement of drug candidate projects
- Proactively evaluate new technologies and develop new assays to accelerate earlystage discovery activities and/or enhance our understanding of disease mechanisms
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and work crossfunctionally with colleagues in the oncology protein engineering chemistry translational medicine biomarker and clinical groups
- Presents research findings and recommendations to senior staff
Experience:
- Masters degree with 3 years of experience or Bachelors degree with 5 years of experience in immunology immunooncology cell biology molecular biology or biochemistry in industry or academia.
- Direct experience in research drug discovery and target identification/validation in oncology or immunooncology is highly desirable.
- Experience in conducting and optimizing cellbased assays as well as performing studies to assess immune responses in human and animal models (including whole blood PBMCs and various primary cell subsets).
- Handson experience in general molecular and cell biology methods including mammalian cell culture multicolor flow cytometry western blot ELISA/Luminex/MSD and CRISPR technology.
- Attention to detail with excellent organizational and record keeping skills is a requirement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
