Job Description:
We are seeking a senior level Transportation Technician to ensure safe and efficient traffic management. This role involves monitoring roadways managing traffic incidents and operating various traffic management systems. The ideal candidate will work with minimal supervision may lead shifts and will be responsible for training junior operators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate computerbased traffic management systems and monitor surveillance for roadways.
- Maintain and verify the accuracy of displayed traffic messages.
- Facilitate communication with local law enforcement and emergency services during incidents.
- Train and guide junior operators and assist in incident management.
- Utilize traffic equipment to enhance safety and improve travel conditions.
Technical Skills Required:
- 2 years of experience as a TMC Technician II or comparable experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access and internetbased systems.
- Strong verbal communication skills for effective reporting and dispatching.
- IMSA Level III Technician and Intermediate Maintenance of Traffic (IMOT) Certification preferred.
- Familiarity with traffic management software and systems.
