Summary: This position within the Office of Outdoor Recreations GIS Program supports the Bureau of Parks & Conservation in making datadriven decisions. The role involves managing the Bureaus GIS producing maps contributing to projects and collaborating with various internal teams. The role is primarily remote with periodic meetings in Nashville and field work across Tennessee.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the Bureaus geographic information system (GIS) and produce maps as requested
- Contribute to GIS projects including developing custom GIS tools and solutions
- Apply spatial analysis techniques to support decisionmaking
- Collaborate with various teams including park staff and divisions like Facilities Management and Marketing
- Conduct field work and attend meetings as necessary
Skills/Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Esri software including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
- Experience in managing editing and publishing GIS data in a geodatabase and cloud environment
- Strong cartographic design skills
- Working knowledge of geospatial analysis and ESRI GIS applications development
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word Excel Outlook)
- Bachelors degree in Geography Earth Science Data Science or a related field with 2 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Preferred: Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite Avenza MAPublisher Arcade and JavaScript programming for GIS applications
