Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

To manage the development of the business plans and strategy, setting the performance measures, tracking and monitoring the performance process in order to ensure that the plans transformed into functional targets, operational performance of the organization is tracked and are aligned vision and strategic priorities.

1. Strategic Planning
Business Strategy Development: Lead the development and implementation of the overall business strategy, aligning with the organization’s vision and goals.
Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities and threats.
2. Financial Management
Budgeting: Oversee the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and efficient allocation of resources.
Financial Forecasting: Develop and maintain financial models to project revenues, expenses, and profitability.
3. Performance Monitoring
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Establish and monitor KPIs to assess business performance and identify areas for improvement.
Reporting: Prepare and present detailed performance reports to senior management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with various departments (e.g., sales, marketing, operations) to align plans and initiatives.
Project Management: Oversee strategic projects and initiatives, ensuring timely execution and achievement of objectives.
5. Risk Management
Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks to the business and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Contingency Planning: Establish contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges or changes in the market.
6. Process Improvement
Operational Efficiency: Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies to enhance productivity.
Change Management: Lead change management initiatives to support organizational transformation and adaptation.
7. Team Leadership
Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing business planning team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations and set objectives for team members to ensure accountability and growth.
8. Stakeholder Engagement
Communication: Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, investors, and partners.
Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders to support business objectives.
9. Innovation and Growth
New Opportunities: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and market expansions.
Product Development: Collaborate with product development teams to align offerings with market demands and trends.


Desired candidate profile

Master's degree in Business Administration or a Professional Qualification.
Finance certification (CA/ACCA) is a must

Minimum Experience

10 years of relevant experience preferably with an Oil and Gas company, with at least 3 years in a lead role
