▪ Oversee the planning, scheduling and material procurement for maintenance jobs, outages and turnarounds.
▪ Organize planned maintenance of equipment and systems as per job plans and suppliers’ manuals and manage spare parts.
▪Perform timely review of specifications and documentation to ensure that project schedules are maintained.
An Instrumentation Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and calibration of instrumentation systems in industrial settings, such as manufacturing plants, oil and gas facilities, and power generation plants. This role ensures that all instrumentation equipment operates efficiently and reliably to support operational safety and productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Oversight:
Develop and implement maintenance strategies for instrumentation systems, ensuring reliability and compliance with industry standards.
Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective maintenance.
Team Management:
Lead and mentor a team of technicians and engineers, providing guidance and support in troubleshooting and repair processes.
Schedule and allocate resources effectively to meet maintenance goals and project deadlines.
Calibration and Testing:
Ensure all instrumentation is calibrated and tested according to established protocols and standards.
Oversee the documentation of calibration and maintenance activities.
Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
Investigate and resolve instrumentation failures and malfunctions, employing root cause analysis techniques.
Implement corrective actions and improvements to enhance system reliability.
Budget Management:
Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective practices and resource allocation.
Monitor expenditures and prepare reports for management.
Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards, promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance team.
Conduct safety audits and training to mitigate risks associated with instrumentation maintenance.
Collaboration:
Work closely with other departments (e.g., operations, engineering) to coordinate maintenance activities and improve overall plant performance.
Participate in project planning and execution for new instrumentation installations or upgrades.
▪ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Departments especially in production and / or maintenance field.
▪ 8+ years of proven experience as Instrumentation or Maintenance Engineer in a maintenance or production environment, and 5+ years in supervisory roles.
▪ Experience with contractors, vendors, and implementation subcontractors in instrumentation, communications, digital control and networked subsystems.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, and industrial processes.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and stakeholders.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities effectively.
