Job Description

PartTime Contract IT Systems Administrator / Technical Support Engineer
Location: Los Angeles CA (Partial Remote)

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator / Technical Support Engineer for a parttime contract position in the Los Angeles area. This role allows for a hybrid setup with the ability to work remotely for certain tasks but will require travel to client offices and data centers as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and review systems logs to ensure proactive issue detection and resolution.
  • Conduct regular backup procedures to safeguard critical data.
  • Install system updates patches and software to maintain security and performance.
  • Resolve support request tickets efficiently while ensuring highquality customer service.
  • Configure plan and implement network infrastructure tasks including routers switches and firewalls.
  • Design configure implement and support VoIP infrastructure for clients.
  • Provide onsite support in client offices or data centers when required alongside remote support as needed.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 23 years of experience in Windows Desktop Support.
  • 23 years of experience in onpremises Windows Server support.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server Office 365 Azure AD and Google Workspace Administration.
  • Experience with TCP/IP network administration including VPN configuration routers and firewalls.
  • Experience with storage solutions and SAN/NAS technologies.
  • Expertise in user and group policy management as well as access control lists (ACL) management.
  • Experience with PowerShell and commandline scripting to automate tasks and manage systems.
  • Strong problemsolving skills with a proactive and independent work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills capable of managing client relationships effectively.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Microsoft certifications such as MCSA or MCSE (strongly preferred).
  • Additional certifications in network management or cloud technologies are a plus.
