Job Description
Job Title: COBOL Analyst (US Citizen Only)
Location: Remote
We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Analyze design and implement COBOL applications and enhancements.
- Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Debug and troubleshoot existing COBOL programs to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Maintain and support legacy systems while ensuring integration with new technologies.
- Document system processes workflows and technical specifications.
- Participate in code reviews and provide guidance to junior team members.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience in COBOL programming and analysis.
- Strong understanding of mainframe environments and related technologies (e.g. JCL DB2 CICS).
- Experience with software development lifecycle methodologies.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Federal Experience is a plus.
- Required Security clearance.
