Responsibilities:
- Assist in the management of the schoolbased Medication Administration Program consistent with the regulations governing the administration of prescription medications in public and private schools.
- Assist in the development and facilitation of health education classes for students.
- Maintain student health records.
- Oversee and perform all statemandated programs such as immunization surveillance and screenings (vision and hearing).
- Triage injury illness or accident and provide appropriate intervention.
- Participate with staff in developing and implementing school health curriculum programs.
Qualifications:
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
- A Bachelors or Masters degree in nursing.
- A minimum of two years of employment as a Registered Nurse in child health community health or other relevant clinical nursing settings.
