Responsibilities:
- Complete duties of the school nurse including routine screenings and maintaining school health records for an enrollment of 2023 students.
- Advise staff on and address daytoday medical issues needs and emergencies of students.
- Oversee the administration of all medication and treatments for students according to guidelines set by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health.
- Control inventory and maintain records according to state and federal guidelines for all medications.
- Communicate effectively with the Program Director regarding student and administrative issues.
- Participate in the ordering and storage of medical supplies and medications according to program state and federal guidelines.
- Assist in creating medical protocols for specific student needs including EpiPen training for staff.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse from the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Nurses.
